Methods of packing mods from loose files to .big archives.
Mods can be distributed as loose files or compiled in to a .BIG archive. Archived mods require a commandline to activate whereas loose files can be dumped directly in to the installation folder.
Multiple archives can be launched toether, however if there's a conflict the game will take priority over the last archive loaded. Which will likely lead to crashes. In this case you would want to extract files from both archives,check for conflicts, merge then you can run as a loose file build or compile in to a new archive.
